Just wanted to share my discussion with IIO -
I called IIO because I wanted to see if it was worth waiting or apply for Advance Parole (my wife plans to travel in 2 months).
So when I posed the question to the lady - she looked at my case and said - "Your case was received on Oct 1, 2001 - we are now processing September - so yours could take time - I would suggest you apply for advance parole." I also asked whether the case was assigned and she said " No it is not - I can say that since I know they are processing September now"
I did not ask her any more just because I know that from the approvals we are seing on the board, she was WRONG and I should take what she says with many pinches of salt.
Just wanted to share - no real news - again depends on which IIO you talk to. I will file the AP request. Anybody knows how long AP takes if I file with VSC? It says AP is current in VSC.
