Called the 800 number this morning and spoke to the customer service representative (I feel this guy was just a college kid and had no idea of immigration. )
First, he read the same info which website says. I asked him that FBI had sent back my 2nd FP on the same day (06/03) and how come its not yet updated. He said, sometimes the internet does not update. (As if I didn't knew this !!!)
After that he put me on hold and said that my case has been held back for one month. I didn't understand what it meant. When asked specifically, he said that your 18 months are expiring on June 20, but since there was a 2nd FP issued, it was held back by one month and thus your 18 months expiry would be July 20. Please note that I never asked him about the 18 months expiry, my question was why my case was not updated with 2nd FP results. After this he said that if I don't hear anything till July 20, I should call back and than he would issue a status inquiry check. He didn't even knew if my case was with Vermont or some other service center. Thats why I said he was a kid.
Can anyone explain what does it mean by "case held back" ?
Does it mean that my file has been touched?
I know there are few guys like me whose messages have not been updated after receiving the 2nd FP.
But I was more worried about BCIS receiving the FP from FBI. And now this "case held back".
Gurus please reply and help to clarify this.
