sorry guys i could not post this message yesterday. i called vermont at 11.30 am yesterday and i was lucky enough to get thru 3 tries. after being on hold for about 8 to 9 minutes an iio by the name of debra picked me up. after asking me for my eac number and verifying my name she asked me if my finger prints were done to which i replied with the date when my finger prints were done. when i asked here for the status of my case if it was assigned to an officer she said that she was not supposed to disclose any info on such a query. i asked her if everything was o.k. with my case and she said that yes, we recieved your case on july 14th and they are processing cases recieved on or before august 1st nd. i asked her how long it would still take for my case to be adujicated and she said about 30 days or may be 60 days. i asked her if there would be any rfe for my case and she said that if there was an rfe my lawyer would be notified. i just thanked her and hung up.
with the way the whole thing went i realised that this is apparently a standard answer which they give everyone. the only thing that disappointed me was when she told me that she could not tell me if my case was assigned to an officer. i just convinced my self that atleast she was a nice, polite iio.
my details- eb3 regular certification, pd 1996, nd july 28 2000. finger print done in november 2000.

regards
