IIO : Good Morning, may I help you? (in a very courteous tone)
ME : Good Morning, I would like to check the status of my case.
IIO : Can I have your application number?
ME : Yes, it is EAC-01-051-XXXXX.
IIO : Your case is with an officer pending, no sorry, rather it is under review.
Me : Thanks, any idea how long it will take?
IIO : This is a very complicated case and the officer has to do a lot of research. It will take from 60-90 days.
ME : Thank you and have a good day.
My details are :
EB2 : Other country
RD : 11/17/2001
ND : 12/06/2001 (EAC-01-051-XXXXX).
I think my application should be very straight forward. Have an MSc. from a US University. Work with a Non-Indian (US) consultancy company for 18 months and then full time with a Fortune 10 company for the last 4 1/2 years. Never out of status and did everything during my nine years in the US by the rules.
Any ideas what is the difference between pending and under review? Why did she say it is complicated? Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have on this.
