I have always been subject to special registration on entry and exit. This time on entry, however, the immigration officer took my finger prints and picture at the counter itself and told me he wasn't sending me to go do special registration(NSEERS) and that he could put in a code into the system to that effect.Please note other people were being sent to another room to do special registration and I wasn't sent to that room.
My questions are: Is this ok? Can the immigration officer do this? Will I get into any trouble because of this? Should I have insisted that he subject me to NSEERS? What does this mean?
