Special Registration Countries Case Approved

Hi All,

Finally my case has been approved. I am from one of the special registration countries. I did comply with this requirement on December 2002. Though I was a silent member, special thanks to all invloved with this site and the members that kept this site alive with their post. I feel a certain kinship with past, present, and future members of this site. I guess I am a proud Aluminum of this site. Please find below more info on my case. ND: 11/21/2001
FP: 02/01/2002
RFE: 03/09/2003 (employement letter and current visa status)
RFE received on 03/18/2003. Sent employement letter, copy of my H1-B visa on the passport, I-94 and the back of I-94 which shows that I have comply with the special registration law.
Approved on 05/19/2003
Received (by the lawyer) on 05/27/2003

Congratulations. Like all others you deserve it after waiting so long. If possible please take a minute of your time an update rupnet if you haven't done so. Also, what country are you from? My country was also subject to NSEERs (Bangladesh) so I was particularly elated when I read your posting.

Pork Chop: Can you please help?

Hi Pork,
I appreciate if you can clarify on this case!!
Compnay A hired a colleague almost 2.5 years ago (H1-B) and applied for his green card. He recived an REF almost 7-8 months ago when he was working at that company. They responded to that.

around 4 month aqo, he started working for Company B (on EAD) but continue part time for Company A.
Questions:
1. Are there chances that he gets another RFE for Employment?
2. If he gets another RFE, because of his good relation with Compnay A (his original sponsor) is ready to give him a letter and mention that they will hire him AFTER his I-485 is approved (and they are really ready to do that)!! Is this enough or he should definitely work there when he gets any future RFE?

which state/city did you file the case from.

I wonder whether it makes any difference as to which state/city one files case from?

No I didn't get a second RFE. This may be due that when they requested my current visa I added a copy of the back of I-94 showing that I have complied with SR.
