Spam: Suggestions to moderators

wittAAAA,

It isn't a bad idea to have one consolidated place for all the threads. The problem with making a large number of threads important is that it pushes all the other threads to the next page, which causes less space for the daily Q & A sessions which are so important.

Though it is not a bad idea to have some threads up all the time. Why not vote for a few main threads that you would like to see marked as important? If more people see things the same way then I am sure those threads can be maintained on the top.

wittAAAA,

We can have some Ocean Projects up, but they keep changing, so it is better to have a link to the latest project up in the important projects thread. If there is anything specific that Project Ocean is working on, I am sure we can ask Kashmir to mark it as important and stick it up.

Likewise with 485 approvals, we have a new thread on that every month. And I am trying to make sure that past months are reflected in the current thread.

EAD/AP approvals have already been added in the 'important threads' thread by Kashmir.

drkamath,

Litigation is a good thread to have up. Unfortunately we don't have a specific thread for Litigation on our forum. If there is a specific thread can you please post the link here?

Actual links would be great. I would recommend one locked thread called Important Threads with all important threads in it.

I agree, maybe two:
1. Dedicated FAQ
2. Important threads

It will reduce clutter and have a central repository for threads.

Looks like we have too many moderators. May be the ones who are busy and not have time to answer the questions posted on the forum should retire!;) ;)

ECGC,

My comments in this thread were not in the capacity as a moderator, instead it was as a forum user.

Technically, I am not really the moderator for this forum, my brief is to popularise and bring Project Ocean activities to the forefront. Same goes for Kashmir and RK4GC. The moderator title/power is only for giving us certain powers to facilitate that task and NOTHING else.

The moderator of this forum for better or worse, is SillyMan, whose brief is to regulate activites in the forum, and has been asked to do that particular job by Rajiv Khanna himself. I am not going to impinge on his turf. Maybe lend a hand here and there if asked too, but definitely will not tread on any toes. I am going to keep my title "Project Ocean" and will not be changing my signature either. :)

So no call for anyone to retire.
