The recent trend in processing 485 has been increasing.
So far this month ~1610 cases were approved. Let us say 1800 cases by the end of the month are approved.

From Kashmir's Report as of 06/21/2004 for 02 series:

With WAC02 series having 10583 cases approved + 3871 cases transfered + 1915 RFE ed = 16369 approved or near approval.

Total cases = 36358
(subtracting near completion or approved cases) we get
36358 - 16369 = 19989.

With this approval rate it would take 11.5 months to process. The processing rate has to be about 4500 - 5000 cases per month or conservatively atleast 3000 to 3500 cases.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, even with such processing speed, it will take 4-7 months to clear WAC 02 series and the backlog will be still be 25 to 28 months!!!!!

Just curious how did you get or calculate the total number for wac02 cases to be Total cases = 36358?

Disappointed at the rate of approvals ~ 1800 per month. This is about ½ a month’s worth of cases. The JIT moved over a month (was that 45 days?) during the same time! Some thing has to change dramatically if they are to keep the backlog from increasing. Let alone reduce the processing time to 20 months by end of Sep 2004.

With the current number of cases approved at the CSC or transferred from the CSC, the number of pending cases at the CSC is a little bit decreasing, but not significantly.

I don't think Don Neufeld keeps his promise to Congressional members.
We should do something especially for long-waiting cases.

The number includes pilot program I suppose, so it is even less than half month worth

Ok, say CSC get rid of 1800 cases in June, from the percentage we observed in this forum, maybe 1/3 is 03 cases from pilot program, 1/3 is older cases past JIT, and 1/3 is within the current JIT jump 4/15-5/15.

That means, 600 cases out of 3000+ cases per month is approved/transfered and they think that qualifies moving JIT one whole month forward.

And previous months have even less approvals, from that we can see how bad the secondary backlog is.

Secondary backlog: those applications pending past current processing time. This is the term used in AILA's testimony.
