South African Police Clearance Certificate

Good Afternoon everyone,

A question regarding the details required on a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC). The South African PCC contains very limited information, it only contains name and date of birth and no ID/Passport number. It does state that information was traced by means of fingerprints. Do the Consulates (considering we are not interviewing in Johannesburg) accept these or is there an additional document that is required?

Yes, that’s what they issue. Your consulate will check the reciprocity table to see it’s the same thing. They would contact JNB if any questions about it.
