I called IIO today for my 485 application and learnt that CSC sent a letter to us on May 11, requesting more evidence. Does anyone know what this could be? I have not received the letter yet that makes me worry.

I also told IIO that my son, who is under 14, also got FP notice but we ignored it per INS\'s instruction. While I am still discussing this with her, the line was suddenly disconnected from her end (I have a speaker phone and did not touch any thing.). It\'s just a bad luck after trying for two days and waiting for 20 minutes on line.

Anyone has similiar experience? I was told they give me 30 days to reply but I have not gotten the letter yet. What should I do?

RD 12/2000
ND 01/2001
FP 3/2001 (wife) 4/2001 (me)
AP EAD all approved.

Meanwhile, anyone else was requested extra evidence and what it could be? I hope it\'s my son\'s FP related that will make the thing simpler.

I also had a RFE from the INS for two additional photo IDs. My previous photos may have been lost or rejected. Here are the details:
- RFE sent out on May 4th per AVM
- Received by the attorney office on May 11st (NOT MY HOME ADD).
- Return the RFE on May 11th by certified mail.
- Recieved the return receipt today (May 23). The receipt says the letter was recieved by INS on the 21st.
It appear to me that letter with return receipt may take a little longer for INS to recieve as the INS officer needs to stamp it, but it is still a safer way.

Thanks for sharing the info. I will check with attorney and see if they have got it.

My phone is redialing CSC automatically every 30 sec and will post new info if I am lucky to get connected.

I am tired of this. Called CSC again. Another IIO told me the May 11 letter has not been sent yet (how confusing!). The system logged on May 11 that a letter will be sent.

WHen asking about my son\'s FP, she asked me to return the org. notice to INS (so perhaps everyone should do the same if child is under 14 and is FP noticed. Of course, keep a copy).

She told me that my case is under "look at". But when I ask if this means it\'s been assigned, she said "I don\'t know because I don\'t do 485". Useless and stupid.

I will have to call sometime later and try to get a smarter IIO. Meanwhile, will ask my attoney to follow up.
