Have anyone drive from USA to Canada recently. If you have a canadian greencard, what are the procedures/stamp(if any) when you entering to Canada....

When coming back to USA. Does canadian side know or they do not even know you have left Canada since the only thing you have to do is to deal with the American custom office???

Any advices will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

If you are a Canadian Landed Immigrant do not drive a US plated car. Your car might be seized by CCRA. Canadian Landed Immigrants are not allowed to drive a US plated car into Canada.

The 1st question you will be asked is Citizenship
Where you are coming from
How long you were out
You might be asked to show your Landing Paper (IMM 1000) along with your passport.
99.9% your passport will not be stamped if you travel by land.
If possible make arrangements with relatives/friends to pick you up at the Airport (US).

When entering US, you will be asked the following at the border:
Citizenship
If you are not a US or a Canadian citizen, you will have to provide your passport along with a Valid US Visa Stamp. If you have a visa stamp, then no probs!! I am not sure of your Citizenship, but Effective March 17th BCC need to have a valid visa stamp in their passport.
