Sooo close to approval but getting laidoff, please help

Details of 485

VSC EB2 RIR PD 05/99 I485 ND 02/01/2000.
First time FP done (Both me and my wife) 03/29/01
My wife had to do FP again on 04/25/01.

Called IIO on 06/18/01, was told that I would get a decision in 30 - 60 days.

Applied for EAD renewal (first expired) in May 2nd week.
New EAD Details are
RD 05/07/2001
ND 06/05/2001. Still waiting for the approval.

My employer asked me to be on forced vacation.
What are the possible options I have if I get an RFE
requesting for the past 2 months pay stubs in Auguest.

My employer/attorney are suggesting that I can stretch
the vacation until Auguest 1st week. i.e. taking one
day as paid vacation for every week and 4 days as
unpaid vacation. So that I get the pay stubs through
out July.
My question is
 Is INS going to be happy with such pay stubs having
one day as paid day for every week ?

According AC -12 (details on www.isn.org)implementation of the 180 day rule. If its been 180days since the Received Date on the I-485 receipt then you are safe. Just try getting a similar job(same position that is on your labor certification) within the same industry
as soon as possible.

If you get a RFE within the 180 days than you have to get a letter from your employer who petitioned for you that he will hire you when you get the I-485 approved. Getting a RFE in the first 6 months(180 days) is almost impossible.

If 180days after filing the I-485 haven\'t passed yet in that case get another job (same position that is on your labor certification) within the same industry as soon as possible and pray to GOd that you don\'t receive a RFE.

If you do receive a RFE within the 180days (chances are very less)
respond to it after 180days.

In any case, this is my advice. Make sure that u consult a very very good lawyer like Michael Phulwani in NYC and your friends ..

But please be brave and smile whenever you see your wife and children and do not get disheartened. Lastly do not leave this country.

Thanks Belal, it has been more than 180 days after my 485 RD. But I do not have EAD approval. RD for EAD is 05/07/01, so hope I will either get GC approval or EAD before Aug 7th. If I dont get I can go to local INS and get my EAD.
