Sons Welcome Notice - Passport Stamping.

Our case has been approved 2 week back and we also received approval notices

My sons GC approval notice is quite different. The notice is a "welcome notice" without a word about passport stamping. Instead it said "we will soon mail you a new Permanent Resident Card". Is that meant that my son has no need to have his passport stamped?

We are planning to travel ASAP. How about if we didn\'t received his Permanent Resident Card in time ? or How he has to travel without passport stamping ?

Your help is highly appreciated.

You can take your son for stamping

It is not mandatory for your son to get stamped but it is safer since you are travelling soon.

Take all the docs for your son and get it stamped. I did same in Feb 13, 02 and we got our cards in Mar.
