First i want congratulate this website for the very useful informations made available for the public.
I'm a permanent resident in U.S.A. and on September of 2008 will be eligible for citizenship.
I have an 18 and a 19 years old sons overseas, on June of 2007 i send the I-130 for both of them as i'm a permanent resident. I understand that as a permanent resident this process is too long.
My questions are:
1-Once i become i citizen, i need to call the California Center and notify them of my change of status?
2-After the notification, how can i rush the process to bring my sons in USA imediately to stay with me and do the rest of the imigration requirenments while here?
3-If a visa number is immediately available for both of them, what they need to do to come to me?

Thank you so much

One thing, I know, your son should be single. My friend was brought into USA two years later after his mom became USA citizen.

Both are single and not planing to get married neither have children.
Is there any way i can do a follow to join for them after my citizenship? i really want my sons with me, if i could, they would be with me tomorrow.
Please give me some idea on what can i do. Must be a way to have them with me.

While you remain an LPR, your children would be in the F2A category, which has a minimum waiting time of approx 5 years, depending upon chargability area.

You write to them, enclosing a copy of your natz certificate and a request to upgrade your petition(s).

Legally you cannot "rush" or otherwise cut corners from the regular process. Since you sons reside outside of the country, you would go through the Consular Processing (CP) route for each of them. If they were somehow already legally in-country temporarily, they'd be eligible for immediate I-485 (AOS).
3-If a visa number is immediately available for both of them, what they need to do to come to me?
Complete the steps necessary for CP, and attend interviews at their local US consulate prior to being given an immigrant visa.

Do not forget that your sons will be eligible for an immediate relative visa if you complete your citizenship process before they turn 21. If the should happen to turn 21 before you complete your citizenship process, they will be in a different immigration category (unmarried sons and daughters of US citizens - about a 4-5 year wait).

Thank you so much for all the information here. It really give me a light on what to do to bring my sons here. When time comes, i will keep this post updated so others with same problem can find this information available.
Once again, Thank you so much
