Hello,

My mom and I came to the U.S. over 12 years ago seeking asylum due to a valid fear of spousal/child violence. However, we were unable to definitively prove our case for asylum. Thus, my mom proceeded to file a case for an I-140 application. Recently, it has been denied and the appeal has been filed. However, I am unsure as to whether or not it will be approved.

I am now 22 years old and am wondering if there are any options for me tofile a case with immigration on my own or open a case for green card application on the merits of my own education. I have a degree in biochemistry w/ a minor in economics. Any advice given would be helpful. Thank you and take care.
