someone please help...Do i need new H-1B multiple entry stamp for new job?

I just recently got my h-1B multiple entry stamp and was laid off from company A.....Now if i join company B and in the meantime, want to go overseas, can i return on the current H-1B stamp with company A\'s name on it? or must i get a new h-1B stamp alltogether?
Recently when i entered the country(while still working for company A, i was asked a lot of questions like:

1) What is your current position
2) what is the name of your company etc....

Need Valid approved I-797 form

If your visa stamp on the passport with your old company is valid and you have an approved I-797 form from INS for your H1B with the new company then you don\'t need to get a new VISA stamp on the passport. though you will need to get it once you VISA stamp expires. Read the DOS website for more info.

What if new H1 is Pending

In above case, what happens if the H1B with new compnay is pending !!
I might face similar situation pretty soon.
