Someone please answer...help !

I am in H-1 status now, recently changed from J-1 to H-1 status after getting my waiver. I am an Indian national.
I plan to go to mexico for H-1 stamping, can anyone update me on the situation there in obatining visas. I am pretty nervous, given the fact that, one cannot return to US if the visa is denied.

Any suggestions, etc, will taking a lawyer along help...did anyone get their visas recently from mexico ?

Hi,
I'm not really sure about the H-1, but when I changed from J-1 to H-3 the lawyer said I would need to go to my home country for visa stamp. Anyway Ididn't leave the USA, and Didn't have any problem..
But again that was not an H-1
