i recieved my first NL in may 2010 and returned it in june 2010 but then i was single, i got married in december 2010 (traditional wedding) my white wedding is in february 2010. however, i dont know what to do so that my wife can go with me as i am not yet current for interview. i dont know which forms to fill, do i need to resend my forms, will it affect my interview date, if not how do i go about it,

filled and returned forms JUNE 2010
TRADITIONAL WEDDING: DEC 2010
ALL IS WELL IN JESUS NAME
 
It will be better for you to claim single, because they might think that you intentional marry cos of the traveling, so my advice for you is to go as single then later you can filled for your wife when you are already in the US.so your interview will not be complicated.

@moji8888, U can still add ur wife if u want to. Just print another DS-230 FORM, include ur wife to it and make a photo copy of the marriage cetificate and send to KCC IMMEDIATELY. Pls note dat White wedding, Traditional wedding is not recognised. KCC and the US Embassy only recognise Court wedding., other weddings are just a plus to u, but not a neccessity. hi moji, i think i agrees with ovicity. You should get the marriage certificate first from the registry and send a photocopy of it along with ds 230 form for your spouse. Then you can go ahead with your church marriage, which to kcc is ceremonial. The main thing kcc needs is your marriage certificate. You have to send this before the end of January to enable kcc update your case file before scheduling you for interview. Kcc schedules interview 2 and half month earlier before anyone becomes current. And you maybe current by April with your case, if you are a Nigerian. This means that on or before mid february kcc would have schedule you for an interview, and if your spouse name is not included on your interview letter, she may be refused entry to the embassy. what if 1 files a notice in court, goes to
the church for the wedding and then returns back the copy for the court to the court is it acceptable by kcc.

@deepope, Pls note that the most important wedding recognised by KCC is ur Court Wedding and not ur church wedding or traditional wedding. U are are going to a western country where all they know is THE LAW. So take all ur time to get ur Court wedding certificate bcos that is wat they want. Cheers bro.

having decided to file for my wife, i am confused with some questions in form Ds 230.
please i need help here as i need to know if i will be the one signing for my wife under the column which says applicant signature or she is the one to sign.
