Gurus,

Please help me out here, what is I688B. Former EAD\'s I had was I-765\'s?
Now INS has sent me an RFE for this. Is it just the I-485 EAD Copy or anything else.
PD 96, ND 10/99, FP 03/06/01
Thanks in Advance

I-688B is Unexpired EAD issued by INS which contains a photograph. I got this info from INS web page.

Thanks for your reply, but the actual wordings in the RFE are as follows:
Submit a photo copy of your previous Employment Authorization Card (Form I-688B).
nowhere on the EAD it says I-688B. Even my F-1 EAD does not have this.
I am really worried.
I will also search on the Web

Thanks

Thanks for your reply again, but the actual wordings in the RFE are as follows:
Submit a photo copy of your previous Employment Authorization Card (Form I-688B).

Is this the workpermit I had before EAD through I-485 some time in 1995?.

I really appreciate your time.

Thanks

So, if you had EAD before the current EAD then you need to submit the photocopy of that EAD. The last EAD you had was in 1995 then you need to submit the photocopy of that 1995-EAD.

Hi,

The form I-688B is nothing but the EAD itself...if you see your
EAD (say the F-1 EAD) it will say I-688B (written from bottom to top) on the extreme right hand side...you will have to turn the EAD perpendicular, to see this...

Now, the question is...which EAD they are interested to see? If you
had multiple EAD\'s during the 485 stage, do they want a copy of
your earlier EAD OR do they want to see a copy of the F-1 EAD?

Doesn\'t hurt to send copies of all EAD\'s you ever had...

Wonder, what the situation would be if one doesn\'t have legible copies of prior EAD\'s...
