Some questions

I just have my interview date and I have some questions. I will appreciate your help.

1) Do you know how many days after the interview do I get the actual green card so that I can travel to the US?
2) I was married in the US, do you know if I have to register my marriage in my country also before the interview?
3) I am in the US right now but I have applied for consular processing, do you know if it is possible to do the medical exams here in the US and to my country just for the interview
4)I was wondering what should I say if the ask me about my intention to go back to my country. Should I say that I want to live and work in the US for ever...?

Thank you in advance
Vicky

1.If your CP interview is successful, your passport will be stamped with an Immigrant Visa that is valid for six months. You will also be given a sealed envelope which you are supposed to give to the immigration officer at your Port of Entry. Your actual Green card will be mailed to you at the address you provided once you arrive in the US.

2.I don't believe you need to register your marriage in your home country. Just take a copy of your marriage certificate as proff of marriage. If you got married after you recieved your notification letter, the Consular officer may request additional documentation as proff that your marriage is valid. For example: wedding pictures, proff that you own property in both of your names, joint bank account etc

3.To the best of my knowledge, you would need to take the medical exam in your home country. The second letter you recieved from KCC has some medical forms and a list of approved doctors

4.In my opinion, if you are asked about your intention to go back to your country, just say you have won the DV lottery and you have an interview scheduled at the American Consulate.

I'm not an expert, I'm just trying to help.
Thanks

Are you going to Athens embassy?

1. If approved, you should have your passport in your hands next day.

3. In the 2nd letter there is list of doctors in Athens with their phone numbers. Is good to call them in advance.

4. You want to be permanent resident, do you? so... yes.

They have some requirements for translations from documents are not in greek or english. Has to be translated by "ypourgio exoterikon".
