Hi!
I'm an F1 graduate student in Atlanta, my fiance is a US citizen, we will get married soon. After that I want to adjust status. Since I'll graduate soon I will need EAD and AP.
I took a look at BCIS webpage and all the documents I'll need to file. While I know I could do it, it still seems like a big headache. So I'm thinking about getting a lawyer. Problem is of course that they are so expensive. Got two quotes so far that were $1500 and $2000 for the whole package (excluding BCIS fees). I was wondering if anyone could give me some useful information regarding lawyers. Specifically:
1. anyone who used/is using a lawyer for I130+I485+EAD+AP, did it make it much easier/worth the money?
2. what is the usual cost range?
3. anyone having good experiences with an Atlanta based immigration lawyer?
4. any other information/comments that can help me decide if i'll go ahead and try it myself or better pay and get a lawyer.
Thanks a lot!
