some question about changing statues(get green card)

I have been in US for 9 months, and soon I can apply for a green card as a derivative asylee. However, problems come. I wonder that after I have sent my application for green card, there is an interview for the status change or not.
If there is , can somebody tell me some details about what to bring and what to prepare?

Usually in most cases there is no interview.
