Some News For Asylee Folks...FROM NSC .!

Good material!

Very important and official confirmation about what is going on in NSC.
1) Goal for this year to process 8000 and only 8000 additional adjustments.
2) Refugee Travel Document processing time reduced to about 3 months.
3) You can expedite that time by submitting an explanation with your request!
4)Asylees are not required to submit a new medical.

Keep up the good work

1. Asylees are required to submit new medical when requested, refugees not.
2. 8000 additional adjustments is not news.
3. You better submit RFE when requested or application will be denied (common sense)

ayyubov,

If you read the article it said:
"In cases where an asylee gets a RFE for a medical and supplement he/she should respond to prevent the case from being denied for abandonment since the applicant will need to provide a G-325A explaining that that the medical and supplement were submitted with the original filing. "

So, whenever someone submits any kind of info for us, we should thank the person and not throw frased like: "It is old news" and so on.
I'm glad for any piece of official information concerning asylees, as you all know, that we do not get too much of it.

Paramvir1, thank you for the link anyway.

This document is the first public official document produced by USCIS recognizing the Ngwanyia settlement and showing official efforts to set-up the agreement, even before to be accepted by the judge. You can surf the entire USCIS.gov place without any reference to this settlement. Can you see now the importance of an official document? There is a huge difference between rumors being discussed by external sources beside official documents coming from NSC.
One thing is "news" and other completly diferent is "official news".

Thanks for sharing Parmvir1.

I think this is very important information. We all have been hypothesizing or "fantacizing" why CIS was sending out mass RFI recently. I believe they make it clear on this annoucement. They address the matter in the settlement, they set a goal, and officially acknowledge the settlement itself. I think this is plausable in every sense. One question remains unanswered. They did not indicate the cut off date for this year? The projection would be May 2001.
