House Immigration Chairman John Hostettler is circulating the following letter, seeking signatures from other U.S. Representatives before Thursday evening, September 29.)

"September 29, 2005

The Honorable George W. Bush
President of the United States
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear Mr. President,

We write as Members of Congress concerned about immigration. Recently there has been much discussion of new guestworker or temporary worker programs. However, we believe that there should be no new guestworker program or any expansion of the number of lawful residents in our country until the Executive Branch better enforces current immigration laws..."

Well Marlon, nothing personal but he is just seeking signatures ! I dont know how posting this letter on this forum helps. If one of us can write to the concerned authorities and if some results or feedback is received , that is the kind of news we want at the moment.

There are also a few good immigration lobbies seeking signatures in favor of lawful, hardworking people here so its better if we sign that and help towards the cause.

If you don't know how posting this letter helps, so then I can explain. This is for you to read and then hopefully motivate people to do the contrary and contact the representatives that are inclined to help. If you don't like the news, just ignore it.

I think this is positive news than a negative news

I am not trying here to be optimistic but the letter to me transalates as below:
"Do not add any new burden etc by introducing the "guest etc" programs unless the existing immigration processes/policies that are in dire need to cleansing are done with."

This will only expedite the "Kennedy-McCain or immigration related bills" in the congress.
