Some N400 Questions

Hi, I wanted to get some information about applying for Citizenship. I reside In Texas but had traffic tickets (speeding) in Colorado while I was visiting there on business. My Texas driving record does not show these tickets, do I still need to mention them on the N-400?

I got divorced after gettting my GC, I have the courtpapers and was a smooth process, do I need to hire an attorney for something like this?

Is it advisable to file a FOIPA request with FBI to get any record they may have on me? A lot of people with common names like mine get stuck in name check.

Thanks,
D.Kumar

Yes, you are better off mentioning all tickets and try to get the paid receipts or some proof that you paid the fines.

If you applying for N400 based upon 5 years residency and GC through employer, then there should not be any issue.

Dont bother of FOIPA about name check, it will not help.

Cheers.
