Some confusion...

I had posted earlier regarding this issue:
My spouse has I-551 stamped, but the passport is in her maiden name(GC was approved with her married name)

We are planning to travel next month, but we are not sure whether we should change her name now or after coming back from India.(I understand it may take just a week or two to get it changed at Indian Consulate)
But if we change it now, what will happen to her GC stamp? It will remain wiht the cancelled Passport.......
If we leave it as it is, will it create any issue in India? Within US they just looked at the marriage certificate to verify the name how about in India.....

Is your last name worth all that trouble ? Could have been worth it with a Trump, Kennedy or Rockefeller. It might just be easier to just let your wife stick to her maiden name.
