Social Security Number wrong on FP Notice

My FP notice didn\'t have my SS number in it (the entry was blank).
Whereas my wife\'s FP notice had MY SS number (by mistake) instead of
hers. Both of us got our FP done recently. My wife told the person
taking the finger prints at SJ/ASC about the wrong SS number, and she
corrected it in the computer.

Is this alarming. Should I contact my attorney and inform INS of this
mistake? Anyone had similar experiences?

Please respond... :-( Those who have received their FP
notices, could you please check and see if your SS number
was printed on the notice?

If there are many people with FP notices without any SS number
printed on it, then it may just be a common practice for INS
to skip it.

You must think that i am dreaming up this story about my
wife having my SS number on her FP notice :) ... Its
funny how you say that with confidence :-)

Believe me, if you had received one, you would know
that there is a SSN field on the FP notice.

mitr, you must think I\'m dreaming too!

On our FP notices there are NOT a field for SSN! I\'ve double-checked that. Let me list all fields:

Title (FP Notice), FP notice date, Casetype (485), RD, PD (same with RD on FP notice), Page (1 of 1), address and barcode, ASC address and scheduled time, document required, "pls discard this if ...", request for rescheduling, warning. That\'s it.

You have SSN on FP notice and it is very important because based on SSN and FP result the FBI will check your criminal record.

Well mitr make sure that when you give your finger prints take your I-485 receipt copy(it has A# and your name) with you and explain their is a typo error in the finger prints notice.

As long as they put the correct SSN and A# along with your FP information at the FP center your are fine.

There is no field for SSN number in our FP notices. But the form we filled out and gave there when we gave the FP had a field for SSN and we filled it ourselves. That form then was stamped and is the receipt. This was the norm when we got the FP notice in August of this year. Maybe the recent FP notices are different.
