Social Security Card Question

Hello all,

Recently received our green cards and want to get our new SS cards without the notation..

Would the card and passport be sufficient or we need to bring the old Social Security Card? I think I misplaced my SS card.

We took our Green Cards and original SS cards, but not passports. The only two numbers the SS offices are interested in are your SS number and your A# which is on your green card. They use the latter to check your eligibility via the computer system that is linked to the DHS.
 
Thank you both for responding.

I'll search for my original SS card this weekend and go to the SS office next week.
