One of my friends in CA got his approval for 485 in 2 months before getting his EAD card. Eventhough I am very happy for him, I am really upset about my case. I completed almost 16 months after applying for 485. I am really close to layoffs. I am worried about my career. I am about to complete my 6 years on H1. Got EAD twice but I can not use this with any other company. God only knows, when I get GC. I think I should better to be prepared to go back to my homeland.

You are not the only one feeling sad. Me and many others are also feeling the same way. Don\'t worry it will happen. If it does not, Hey it is not the end of the world.

Check with your lawyer... You have passed 180 days after you filled I-485. You should be able to transfer job in the same field. Make sure your EAD is also current. Hang in there bud... It will soon be over..

Thanks Friends. I called IIO yesterday and informed me that I should wait 3 to 4 weeks (If this is really true, it is not bad at all).
