If your job description is on it, you can get a J1 visa to train in that job. It also means that you are obliged to return to your home country for 2 years after finishing training . If you don't want to spend the 2 years at home, you have to obtain a waiver. Typically, this requires the consent of your home govermetns embassy to the US (a no objection statement) and the consent of the agency that provided the funding for your stay.
