Single entry visa

I applied for a single entry visa anticipating my PR card appointment since my IMM document was not valid for travel (landed in Aug'02). Now my single entry visa is set to expire on Jan 31st and I still don't have my PR card appointment. How do I revalidate my single entry visa? Please advise.

I would think you get another single entry Visa.

I am surprised they gave you a VISA.

this is the problem with some of CIC rules.
You are a PR but you cant travel out and if you are out you need a Visa to come back...weird circular logic.

Same issue with passport stamping. i dont know how it improves security or any other matter. Why dont they just send IMM like before and when the people land give them a PR Card. just more harrasment.

I plan to land on March and return to US soon. I'd like to know your experience for applying the PR card. You landed on Aug. 2002, right? Did the immigration officer of the border tell you that you will have an appointment and pick up the PR in person? How long did you stay in Canada? What did the officer of Canada consulate ask you when you apply for the vistor visa?
