Single Entry H1 - new stamp? new visa? or new petition?

Hi,

I have a single-entry H1b visa. I want to visit my country and return back to the US. If I leave the USA, do I need to get a new stamp? or I should apply for a new H1b visa from the scratch?

The term "new petition" is clear for me but what do these "new visa" and "new stamp" terms mean?
