Help! laid off < 180 into AOS (I485), Co. Close down
Hi, everyone
Here is my situaion, kind of complicated:
1. I-485 filed in 2002 Feb with CSC. Also filed EAD and AP petition.
2. Company will close down in several months and most of people
(including me) have been notified termination date, which is in 2002
April (this months).
3. Will get 3 month severance pay until July.
4. HR will notify INS about withdrawing my H-1B petition including
the case number. But she will only mention the last pay day, which
is in July. And she won\'t say anything about my GC process and I-
140/I485 stuff.
5. The parent company is still running in another state. However my
case was filed with this company in CA.
So, my 180 day will be over in 2002 August
Could anyone see through my case? What will be my option? Will I
still have chance to get GC?
