Simple question: How long for Consular Processing

Dear CP gurus:

I am just now getting into the the CP stage. I intend
to appy for I-824 in the first week of january and would like
to know how long will it be before I get an interview.
ALso, time permitting please let me know what the process is
after I send my application to the INS.
When will I get receipt of notice for I-824
What is PK3 that everyone is talking about. How long will it be
before I get it.
Also Is there a PK1 and PK2or a PK4.
What happens after PK3.

It is difficult to find out anything from the lawyer.

AOS from VSC picking up speed

Seems like VSC is picking up speed for AOS approvals. Check the Latest Approvals link on www.immitracker.com for details. It seems possible to get it done in 9-10 months. If it gets any faster, CP may not have the edge (over AOS) that it used to.
