Simple I-485 Question?

Hey Folks,
Iam a European married to an american citizen so sending in all my docs in as a package but have one question relating to the I-485.

In part 2 of I-485, should i mark either A or B as below. We had A marked but a friend believed it to be B. We are filing the whole package so do not yet have "copy of the approval" notice mentioned in A.


(A)An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has
been approved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile,
or special immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you an
immediately available visa number, if approved.)

(B)I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because:
My spouse or parent applied for adjustment of status or was granted lawful permanent
residence in an immigrant visa category that allows derivative status for spouses and children.

The answer is A.

Reason: You are married to a US Citizen, so your spouse didn't apply for adjustment of status. Also under A if you take out the extra words it would say: Attach a copy of the approval notice or a relative petition filed with this application that will give you an immediately available visa number, if approved. The relative petition is an I-130.
