AC 21 Regulation: (Release 09/00/03, Comment End 11/00/03): Enactment of this regulation has been long overdue. This proposed regulation will clarify all those controversial interpretation issues, including 180-day rule, portability eligibility, etc. etc.

I saw this post in http://www.immigration-law.com Breaking News Section.

Do you know where to find the clarifications ???

JM,

This is presented under the section "BCIS Scheduled Release of Proposed Regulation During Next Six Months".

So, I believe between Sept 2003 and Nov 2003, people at BCIS will wake up and grab some old document and release it as clarification of AC-21

:)

Junior_member, AC21 is the most unclear rule in recent INS history. There are multiple ways to interpret it, and basically it all depends on the adjudicating officer's mood whether to honor it or not.

Note my choice of words :).

I think in this they will clarify certain issues, which is good because for anyone who wishes to use AC21, we will know what to do. But it will create more confusion for people who have changed their jobs already, and won't fit according to this new norm.

Not to mention, every new rule they come up will only create more confusion.
