Hi,

I am a regular browser of this site. I learned a lot from this site.
This is my details for record.

INDIAN / EB2

I-140 RD July26th 2001 Approved December 11th 2001.

I-485 RD Feb 11th 2002 ND Feb 20th 2002 WAC-02-115-xxxx

Finger Print did on Apr 23rd 2002.

EAD not applied along with I-485, hoping that the approval will be within 8/9 months.

Still under H1B Valid till December 2003.

EAD applied now RD April 4th 2003, ND April 8th 2003.
 
Hopefully you wil get approved by within 8/9 months. But dont count on it. Unless you are confident that your employer is going extend H1 (and there won't be any layoff), it's better not take take that risk. Lots of people (including me) did lots of time-estimates/calculations about processing time. Most of the time BCIS (then INS) proved us wrong. EAD application fee is only $120 (if you apply yourself). I would not take risk for that amount.
