Thanks for the reply. I still don't understand some of them like 'proprity date' and how will i find out these dates? Also, could someone tell me when can i start checking on the status of my application and how...thank you very much

Preiority date determine the order to be processed. You will see your priority date on your NOA. I guess you get your GC easily so you don't know what priority date is.

Just wait, you will get a letter in a few days confirming receipt of your N400 this letter will tell you the priority date.

It will also give you your case number which will allow you to check your case status online.

I'd say that checking online is a futile and frustrating waste of time in most cases.
