Signature box in Part A for a minor

I have searched this forum and could not find an answer. I have a 6 year old who will also be in our Part A. What do you do for them in the signature box? Do you put their fingerprints? Any help would be great.

I have an 8 year old. I made her practice to write her name cleanly on multiple copies, I think I tried like 4. The one that seemed reasonable, I took those two and prepared it for applying.

I have done the OCI for my 2 year old son and you do not need signature or thumb impressions for a minor. But make sure you do not put your signature on behalf of your minor child in the square box at the top of Part A of the application for your minor child.

I have confirmed about this with CGI,NY through an e-mail. Search my user handle for my earlier posting in this forum.

Thanks both of you. I initially researched Houston CGI, which did not have this info, but later (hour ago) CGI-SF - which had the info. They do say that the child can write their name. Also CGI-SF has a lot of examples of PP size photos in their website as to what is acceptable etc.

so... what is the final outcome of this "signature for a minor" debate?

I have a 2 and 4 yr old. What do I do? Thumb impression? signature? no signature/no thumb impression? sticker of micky mouse?

Thanks!

For your case, I think thumb impression would be a better option. I do not know about your 4 year old's writing skills (that is why I suggested thumb impression). I am going to ask my son to write his name (he is going to be almost 7).
