showing support for sponsoring mother in laws green card

Hi,
I am thinking of applying for green card for my mother in law.
I read that my wife is the petitioner.
When it comes to the stage of showing funds for sponsoring my mother in law, my wife's income may be seen as too little.
Will I be able to show my income as support for sponsoring my mother in law? How do I do that?

At some point your wife will fill out an I-864 Affidavit of Support. You will fill out an I-864A to act as your wife's "household member" so that your income can be counted as part of your wife's household income.
