I knew this post shouldn't post here, but I've emergency situation.

My daughter is one year old, US Citizen has 5 years entry visa to India. She was in India since 8 months and now my mom is bringing her in four days.

Recently I came to know something about "Registration" in local SP office ! Should we register even my daughter is one year old. Because I have seen in many websites, we don't need to be registered if the child is lessthan 16 years.

Anyone has similar situation earlier. If so, please advise me whether to be registered or don't need.

Last year my son came from India and we registered him in the local SP office. They said it is necessary. BTW he was 2 years old at that time.

Registration not required for under 16

If your kid is under 16, registration is not required. Here is the official Indian immigration web site. Please look under registration requirements

Good idea to keep a print out

I won't be surprised if the immigration people in India are not aware of this. It's a good idea to keep the printout showing the reg. requirements.

If your kid is under 16, registration is not required. Here is the official Indian immigration web site. Please look under registration requirements
