Should PD be current to change jobs after 180 days of filing I-485

Hi guys,
Should the PD be current for people who have applied for
I-485 and have been waiting for more than 180 days for approval.
I know there are many of us whom the PDs have gone back after
we applied for I-485.

Any info, suggestions on this.....
