Should I use EAD?

I have worked for company A as H-1B and it applied for GC for me. My I-140 (NIW) was approved and I-485 is pending (concurrent filing). Due to project reason, I need to be paid by 50% from company A and another 50% from company B. This is a collobrative project shared by both comapny A and B. So my job duty and salary remains the same as that when the H-1B and I-140 was filed. And I will be physically located at the company A. My lawyer from company A said that I can continue using H-1B for the payroll from company A and using EAD to get paid from company B. I am wondering if it is OK to keep H-1B for company A while work for company B using EAD. Or should I switch to use EAD for both companies? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know,Once you use your EAD,the H1-B will automatically gets VOID.The one positive in your case is,once you use EAD,you can as well use it with both the employers.
Please consult..I might be wrong,

You are correct Abhi. Once the EAD is used for employer B, you must switch to EAD with employer A also. (as you H1-B will be invalid).
