Should I still go for H1B visa, though my wife is DV winner ?

Hi,
I have been selected in H1B visa lottery this year for which I yet to start formalities for its stamping; but I am not able to decide whether should I go for H1B Stamping or discard it; because my wife has won DV 2016 lottery with case number AS00000xxx.

my question is :
1) If I get my H1B visa, will that help in our Green card Visa Interview ? Will it help us to avoid need of "Form I-134" ?

2) Later on, if we enter into the USA using our Green card visa(if we are granted); will my H1B visa still be valid there or will it automatically get cancelled ? Meaning to say, Will I still be allowed to work with that company which has sponsored my H1B Visa now?

3) How to show that we will not become a public charge in the USA, do I need to show my Bank account statements, AND anything else ?

Please suggest me.

Congratulation!
1. H1B process itself does not help DV process but yes if you have a job it will help you in financial paperwork.
2. Green card is permanent residency card. You don't need H1B when you have green card.. Yes with green card you can work for almost any employer, including the current one.
3. Employment proofs are enough but including bank statement does not hurt.

Hope that helps.

Agree with bmPeters points above, but also you should consider the timing and chances of success of the DV cases.

The earliest you can start work under the H1 will be October 1. That depends on processing time and clearing up any RFEs for the H1 case. From the case number you quote, the DV case could be just a few days later (if you process on CP - i.e. outside of the USA). BUT if you have not submitted your DS260 yet you may already have caused a delay to the DV case since October interviews are based on current cases with DS260's processed as of August 1 (ish).

I entered on my H1 a few months before the DV Green Card was due to be approved. Since you have not submitted the DS260 yet - you might want to delay submission and do the same (enter as H1, then file and do AoS a few months later).

Before jumping ship to the DV case you should be very sure your wife will be approved. If she has the education required, has not done anything silly in the DV entry process she should be fine.
