Should I stay or should I go

I am on H1. I had a project based job and hence my last paycheck before I was laid off was in April (hence over 60 days) - but I was really let go recently - 3 weeks ago. Am I out of status? Company is willing to give a document that verifies that layoff was 3 weeks ago but last pay check is from April-- please help
