I am applying for PIO for my wife. She needs to travel and do not have time to get OCI. The Indian embassy Washington DC website and Consulate Houston website differs. Also, PIO application (from Washington DC website and Houston website) differs.
I have seen all variations:
1). Send photocopies of passport both indian and US
2). Send original indian passport and photocopy of US passport
3). Send original indian passport and original US passport.
4). Send original indian passport, photocopy of cancelled indian passport if any and original US passport.
What do i need to send?
Also, the PIO application fee varies. In one place, it says $310 and in another it says $365. I have decided to send $365 + $20 (express mail).
I called Houston office several time without any response.
