Should I remove the staple from part 1 and part 2 of the DSP-230 form?

Hi!

I know that we should attach all the forms and the picture together using paper clips and that we should not staple anything together.
But part 1 and part 2 of the DSP-230 form I was sent have been stapled together when I received them.
I was wondering whether I should remove the staple that attaches together part 1 and part 2 of the form DSP-230 and then attach all documents together using a papaer clip, or whether instead I should keep both parts of DSP-230 attached with the staple as they are and then attach all the other sheets along with the pic to it using a paper clip.
 
why do you people so much worry about these things.

me, I downloaded the fillable forms and worked on them.
I took my picture by my digicam and printed it on a photo paper.
I filled Q10 and Q11 with N/A.
I sent back all forms+photo by only using regular mail service.

everything only costed me less than 5 dollars.
 
There is no requirement like removing staple DS 230 Part I and II, if you dont remove them nothing will happen. If you remove them it may be convinience for KCC and consular officers. But do not forget to write your case number on the upper side of the right hand of the forms and use the paper clips to attach them and photo..
 
People here may be unlike you,
they may have been living in a country where there is no advanced postal services,
they may not have a dijital camera.
If they have have one, maybe they are not able to edit and print the photo according to requirements,
they worry much more than you, because they may not have other choice and hope...

There is nothing wrong with being cautious. Some questions may sound unimportant to you, but they are important to them.
It is once in a life opportunity, and they just don't want to mess it up.
The more cautious peope are, the less they are likely to have problems. If you are so confident about everything,
why did you ask us about Q10 and Q11 before? I'm familiar with your name because I gave you my comments on it.
Wasn't it because you were worried a little bit? DV winners are here to collect information as much as possible, including you.
So, please do not pretend that you filled out forms and prepared without any help. I don't mind people ask trivial stuff,
but I just hope they use "Search" function more often.:)

Thanks for the reply!
Yup what you say makes sense. So I guess it is better to carefully remove the staple since it'll make it a bit easier for the officers at KCC.
And thanks for the advice about writing the case number on the upper right side corner. Though that's not strictly required according to the instructions, I can see why that is a good idea!

The instruction about it is given on your NL. So, don't forget to write yours.:)
 
what if one has forgotten to write the case number on each form but did send the Barcoded form would this matter
 
HI,
IS IT FINE IF i FILL A COPY OF FILL ABLE FORM DSP-122 EDITION 12-2003. BUT IN THE ENVELOPE THE FOR i GOT IS DSP-122 EDITION 03-2007. BUT THEY R HAVING SAME INFORMATION& SAME TEX. SO IS IT A PROBLEM IF I FILL DSP-122 EDITION 12-2003.
