Should I re-apply for I-485?

Guys I need your opinion on something.

My I-485 application has been gathering dust at TSC since July-2001. My RD is 09/01. No FP. Category is EB3 India.

My wife is US citizen. My lawer suggested I can re-apply for I-485 thru my wife.

Is it possible? Should I sent another application for I-485?

What do you think please give me your views.
 
if you need one, since you may already have an EAD, and
since you can apply for a GC anytime thru your spouse, if need be;
I dont see any reason why you need a GC, unless you
want to change jobs, I feel you time is up since may people
from aorund your time period are getting FP notices

you said many people around bhavesh are getting FP, which suggest people with ND aound july-01 are getting FP. Could you please give some examples? I have not seen any lately.

from the tracker --- looks like people with ND in 2001 ( upto
july 2001 ) seem to be getting FP notices.....
