Should I move F2B to F1?

I will be really appreciated if someone can give me a hand on the following questions.

I just become an American citizen and would like to move my daughter from F2B second preference (unmarried son/daughter of a permanent resident) to the F1 first preference (unmarried son/daughter of American citizen).

1. Will my daughter retain her original priority date according to F2B second preference status?
2. According to the monthly Visa Bulletin, the current cutoff date for F1 first preference is April 2001 and this cutoff date has been stayed the same for almost a year. If my daughter retains her original priority date which is May 1997, will her immigrant visa case become current right away and be processed immediately?
 
1. She should retain her original priority date.
2. I don't know, her priority date could be current but a visa number should be available.


You must upgrade your new status to the respective address and you must sent a copy of your naturalization certificate with your approved I-130 or the receipt that you have or a document tha contains the name and information of your daughter, so your daughter's application gets upgraded.
