Should I leave the country? Cannot wait forever!

With April's Visa Bulletin, I have lost all hope that I am going to get my Green Card anytime soon. I cannot bear to think I have to go through this torture for another 2-3 years. Waited too long...is there any hope? I do not want to waste my family and my life's best years in this waiting game.

That is the reason you have AC-21.

They don`t want u to go and came back. If u leave, u must stay out there.
Anyways this GC game is sock. What u r doing here, problably u can do in other country. About money, $$$ are loosing power. Go to London or Frankfurt if u can. Good luck! Say bye-bye to this freak USCIS.

I see 2 contradictions in your statement. On the one side you say, I cannot wait, should I leave ? On the other side you say, don't want to use AC21, as it is too risky. So you are ready to leave US by desire forever, but not take the assumed risk of AC21 and be asked to leave?

First of all, AC21 is not risky at all. Secondly even if it was risky, why do you care if the GC gets denied after u use ac21, since you are already thinking of leaving in the first place. So let the AC21 outcome deceide for you if you will stay or not !

My advice to you is, stop waiting. Get on with your life, use AC21 and do what you have to do. Do not let the waiting thing get you down. GC is not a magic wand, and your life will not change after you get it. I used AC21 and changed employers. Later I got the GC, and I must say, besides the occasional joy of looking at it and seeing my smiling face on the card, my life is not any better or worse from it ! Its all in your mind.

The only advantage of GC is you can change employers. So, use AC21 and get on with life. Instead of feeling depressed and writing such kinds of posts, get educated about AC21 and its "risks".

I think the contradiciton in his mind is :-
"If I do file AC21 and THEN something gets SCREWED UP and I find out after all it would have come in 6 months and I filed AC-21 thinking it will take 2 years and now I screwed unnecessarily. If I just had patience"

p.s. One of my frieds used to say the same thing.

Your advice is appreciated. What is my second contradiction? You just mentioned one.

To defend my FIRST so-called contradiction, I do not want to use AC21 as my new job certainly will be of much higher title and salary than my original EB3 labor. I don't want to risk getting rejected because of my own fault. There is a big difference between getting rejected and immediately getting thrown out (with whatever legal recourse) than deciding and planning to leave on my own accord. For me, filing AC21 will actually increase my anxiety on top of the excruciating wait, as I will always fear the wisdom and consequences of an unnecessary move. On the other hand, if I consciously decide that this is it for me and I am going back, I will hunt for a job in India, plan my life there, sell my house, car and other possessions here and leave in a well planned way without last minute panic and losses.

You can't plan everything in life, and no one follows advices given on this matter. We know what is best and what works so let's not post timepass questions !

FYI AC21 is not going to screw anything, as long as you have same / similar job etc. and if promoted file an EB2 petition retaining the PD. AC21 is law not a hobby of 485 applicants . Title ? I can become CEO of my home based business making 0 $. In banks everyone is VP.
Think about it. A software engineer makes from 40K to 140K. What is there in title anyway unless you bring value associated with it ?

Now friend to friend, spend money on sports, travel, dining and entertainment and live assuming you have a green card. Take it easy and enjoy the now.

Last and not least, Money we make is never enough, no matter we earn it here or in India !

One of the things I have learnt is we cannot live life with 0% risk. So, weigh each option, analyze the risk and then make an informed decision.

Shakti Kapoor - aap se bhi maphee mangata hun, mera irada aapko naraz karane ka nahi tha.

Itana zaroor bolunga ki aapane apani sabhyata ka darshan de diya in gaalion me. GC sirf ek status hai jo aapko turant mile to achh hai, nahi to aapka mental status theek nahi hoga.

Aise kathin samay par ek dusare ko sahara dene ke bajaye gali dene se kuchh milane wala nahi hai bhai.

you should leave

i don't have any advice to offer , but i think "EB3India2002" should leave both US & us ..

I think before you make any decisions, wait for the latest immigration bill to clear the congress and become law. You never know, it could even possibly make EB3 current for some of us. You have waited this long...another 1 or 2 months shouldn't matter.

Whoever want to go ...Please go..India is doing great...

But now you have to start your life there all over again..Just like you started here years ago. :D

Yes, Go ahead!!
Ha..Ha..Ha.. Have you ever tried to watch first day first show of hit movie? If yes, did you reach little late and ever dared to ask a question to a person already in queue whether you will get ticket or should you leave?

If answer of all the questions are YES, then you know the answer of your question!!!

Never mind, basically we all are waiting for the GC and nobody is certain to know the answer. It's the individual's decision whether they want to wait or want to leave? Just think/analyze your financial situation, family responsibilities back in India and available job opprtunities here vs India and you will get answer yourself.

Or contact AJMERI BABA!!!! At least Zee TV ad says he has answer of all the questions!!!
